How to eliminate mental fatigue, amplify cognitive performance, and become an unstoppable learner

A compounding breakthrough in Learning

Last week, I made an exciting discovery. You know how I’ve been sharing my thoughts on LinkedIn? Well, I’ve now got over 400 posts - all my own ideas, no copying or AI-generated stuff. It’s like I’ve been building a treasure chest of knowledge!

My newsletters are part of this treasure too.

But here’s the thing: I found it tricky to use AI to work with all these ideas. I tried copying some posts into ChatGPT, but never a whole bunch at once. I even made some special AI assistants (called GPTs) and gave them some background info, but keeping them updated felt like a waste of time.

I knew I was missing something important - a bridge between my ideas and AI. Luckily, I used to be a software engineer (though I’m a bit rusty now), so I decided to build this bridge myself.

With some help from AI, it only took a day, and guess what? It didn’t cost me anything extra!

Let me explain how this bridge works:
→ I use a cool AI platform called Langdock.

→ Langdock can talk to different AI brains like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and LLama.

→ I can create AI assistants that work with any of these brains. This is great because different AIs are good at different things. For example, Claude is awesome at writing, and Gemini Pro can handle really long conversations.

The most exciting part? Langdock can connect to something called Vector Databases. These are like super-smart filing cabinets for your ideas. They store information in a way that helps AI understand and find connections between different thoughts.

I found a free Vector Database called Qdrant to use. Now I had all the pieces I needed:
→ Langdock for AI
→ Qdrant for storing ideas
→ Obsidian (where I keep all my posts and newsletters)

Using Python (a computer language that’s great for working with data), I made a program that:
→ Reads all my posts and newsletters
→ Turns them into a format the Vector Database can understand
→ Puts all this information into Qdrant

Then, I created AI assistants in Langdock that can access this database. Now, I can ask questions like:

Find all my posts where I wrote about the Second Brain. Extract my main argumentation and create a list that Links to all posts.

And in just one minute, I get an answer like this:

List of Posts Discussing Second Brain:

  1. Benefits of Building a Second Brain
  2. How to use your Second Brain to learn a new skill
  3. Second Brain - How to start
  4. Your mind is for having ideas not holding them
  5. Two Years with My Second Brain - A Journey of Discovery and Growth
  6. How my Second Brain supports me on my Fastlane
  7. Smart Connections - the next level of working with AI
  8. Second Brain and AI presentation at FU Berlin
  9. I struggled to retain what I learned for decades
  10. How I create presentations directly from my Second Brain

This is super cool because now I can do even more! I’m feeding all my daily notes into this system. Each day, I write down things I learn and think about. With my new AI bridge, I can easily find patterns, connect ideas, and discover new things in all these notes.

This is what I call a “compounding knowledge system.” It’s like planting a seed and watching it grow into a big tree of ideas. Each new thought connects to others, making everything more valuable over time.

Building bridges like this between our thoughts and AI is a game-changer. It helps us create bigger, better ideas by connecting what we already know in new ways.

Want to learn more about this? Join me for free at my upcoming workshop, Learning That Pays Dividends workshop, next Wednesday. I’ll share lots more cool stuff there!

Also, check out this video about the Compounding Domino effect. It shows how small actions can lead to big results - just like how connecting our ideas can lead to amazing discoveries!

Stop trying to organize your way out of complexity. Every time you switch to a 'simpler' system, you're making the problem worse. I know this contradicts everything you've been told. Every productivity guru preaches simplicity. Every minimalist influencer promises that fewer features mean less friction. But here's the uncomfortable truth they won't tell you: your work doesn't fit into neat little boxes. Your ideas don't respect folder boundaries. Your projects interconnect in ways that simple...

Younger folks are racing to learn every new tool. But here’s what they’re missing: You’ve got 30 years of figuring stuff out. You’ve navigated market crashes, technology shifts, and industry transformations. You’ve built expertise...

The Last Generation of Human Workers (Are You Ready?) Everyone’s debating whether AI will replace jobs. They’re asking the wrong question. Yesterday’s Grok 4 presentation made one thing clear: We’re not heading toward job replacement. We’re heading toward human labor becoming obsolete. In most fields. Maybe all fields. ‘Grok is better than PhD level in every subject, no exceptions.’ ‘It may discover new physics next year.’ ‘We’re in the intelligence big bang right now.’ While others argue...
