The Friday Brain UpgradeHow to eliminate mental fatigue, amplify cognitive performance, and become an unstoppable learner The Specific Event that Changed My LifeHave you ever had a specific event change your life? I did. When I was eighteen years old, my father died. It was sudden and shocking. I had been planning to go to one college, but changed universities—and majors—because I wanted to be close to my family after he passed. I had never thought about learning computers, and there was already so much stress in my family. Now, I need to learn this computer thing, or I faced falling behind. I knew I needed to do well in school, so I could one day support my family in my dads place. So, I studied—like hell. I read so many books, learned code, and learned how to make programs on the computer. For context, this was just after the Berlin Wall fell, and computers were new to my society. But computers were the future, and I knew I wanted this opportunity. I didn’t have to be the smartest; I just had to learn the most and be FAST. Hey hey! I did it! I graduate with top marks and began my computer career just as these machines revolutionized the world. I look back at this period of time with awe and gratitude. It was overwhelming and transformative, but it made me who I am today. Twenty-five years later, I’ve had a full career based on computers and computer learning. I made a lot of money and was the head of teams in many companies. I can say with certainty that learning—and then implementing the learning—was the key to my success throughout my career. Learning made me happy, and it brought me success that allowed me to help my family and stay ahead of the curve. Now, when I see the way computers are continuing to change, especially with AI, I know we must keep learning to stay ahead of this technology. So we are the ones to use it, rather than have it replace us. Learning is something we must do to stay valuable, and unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation. While learning—and learning quickly—can seem overwhelming, it doesn’t have to be. Not if you know how YOU learn best, and have a system for storing the information. I aim to do that in ✿ QuintSmart, my new intimate cohort learning program that teaches people how to learn so they can advance quickly in the face of any obstacle. In QuintSmart, we will learn the fundamentals of learning. We will learn how to adopt a new mindset about learning, recognize and implement the style of learning that is best for you, organize your information, and finally, become an expert in a topic quickly so you will never be obsolete. That Made My $175 Course Investment Actually Work You bought another course. Again. This time it was different, you told yourself. This time you’d actually finish it. But here’s what usually happens: Day 1: You’re pumped, taking detailed notes. .Day 3: You skip because of a work deadline. ..Day 7: The course collects digital dust while you scroll social media instead. Two months ago, I faced this exact scenario with Dan Koe’s $175 personal brand course—the same Dan Koe who’s built a 7-figure...
Stop trying to organize your way out of complexity. Every time you switch to a 'simpler' system, you're making the problem worse. I know this contradicts everything you've been told. Every productivity guru preaches simplicity. Every minimalist influencer promises that fewer features mean less friction. But here's the uncomfortable truth they won't tell you: your work doesn't fit into neat little boxes. Your ideas don't respect folder boundaries. Your projects interconnect in ways that simple...
